Michael Shanks’ Saving Hope picked up by NBC

Saving Hope, a supernatural medical drama starring Michael Shanks (Stargate’s Daniel Jackson) has been picked up as a series by NBC. The shows stars Shanks as neurologist in a coma who wanders the halls of his own hospital as a disembodied spirit helping out others who have been caught in this limbo between life and dead. The 13 episode season starts this summer

Moi dix Mois and Obitsu coming to Sakura-Con

Sakura-con has two new Japanese guests for us today. The first is Moi dix Mois, which is “a sound project featuring the lyrics, composition, and programming” of Mana, fashion designer and former lead Singer of Malice Mizer. In short, it’s pretty boys meets large guitars meets larger hair equals music that is not bad for killing vampires to.

 

Next we have OBITSU, manufacturer of the Obitsu Kewpie doll and many other ball jointed doll products. Perfect for DEVOURING YOUR SOUL just before you head in to the Moi dix Mois concert!

Marina Sirtis, Tony Amendola, Brian Dobson, and Sam Vincent added FanExpo Vancouver

Fan Expo has added even more guests to its ever expanding roster. Marina Sirtis (Deanna Troi from Star Trek: The Next Generation) and Tony Amandola (Master Bra’tac from Stargate:SG-1) will be appearing along with anime voice actors Brian Dobson (Garma Zabi from Mobile Suit Gundam) and Sam Vincent (Athrun Zala from Gundam Seed).
